post-festival feelz

Heard of my Korean friends being excited about university festivals but never thought much about it.. Now that I took part in one in my exchange university, im starting to understand why its so raved.

There were food and game stalls set up like a mini fun fair, bars and a performance stage. I cant even decide a "best part". I really liked the atmosphere of everyone just gathering to chill, in school. One night we were screaming our lungs out for a dear friend performing, the next night just chilling and drinking cocktails mixed by the Chorus Club and then the following night we were eating and drinking again in front of the performance stage watching Roy Kim.

Playing games, eating samgyeopsal, being public (foreign) nuisance, making random new friends, mixing drinks and more eating through the night...

University seasonal fesitvals might indeed be a huge thing in Korea and many would hop from one university to another for these festivals but I know for sure even if I do visit other universities, the experience would never be the same. It would never be as special as this one. Being here for 3 months now, i have grown more comfortable and familiar with KAIST and the people here. This sense of familiarity may never be experienced again at simply another university fair. Walking back to my dorm these days feels a little more melo now, knowing that this comfort is coming to an end.
